Heroscape at Adepticon 2026!

Adepticon 2026 is coming soon, and we have a swathe of Heroscape events for you to participate in! Here's some of the information you'll want to know as you prepare for the country's premier wargaming convention!

Paint Competition

We're hosting our first-ever Paint Competition at Adepticon! Submissions begin 10AM Thursday and run until 6PM Friday. Winners will be announced after the Valkyrie Trial on Saturday at 5:00 PM Central US at the Renegade Games booth in the Exhibit Hall. If you are using a miniature in the Valkyrie Trial Saturday, please let us know so we can ensure it is brought down to you for use during the tournament. Miniatures will be available for pick up Saturday and Sunday. An AdeptiCon Badge is required to submit an entry.

Paint Competition Guidelines

Figures must be Heroscape: Age of Annihilation miniatures. 2004-2010 Heroscape figures will not be considered. 3D-printed figures will not be considered. You cannot submit miniatures from other wargames, although scenic components from other brands are allowed as base details or decoration.

Figures may be reposed, modified, and rebased. You may use scenic elements like static grass or basing gravel. Base sizes or dimensions do not need to conform to typical Heroscape base sizes; however, it should be noted that figures with non-legal base sizes will not be allowed for tournament play in Adepticon events.

Winners will receive Adepticon medals for three categories:

Best Hero (Best Unique Hero or Common Hero)
Best Squad (Best Unique Squad or Common Squad)
Best Paint-and-Take (Best Single Figure Painted at the Paint-and-Take Table, from our selection of pre-primed figures)

G.I. Joe Battle Box Demos

New to Heroscape or need a refresher? We'll be running Battle Box demos featuring the new G.I. Joe: Rumble at the Rift Battle Box continually throughout Adepticon! Walk-ups are welcome.

Heroscape Paint and Takes

Happening in the exhibit hall! Whether you're an experienced painter or you've never picked up a brush, you're welcome to come use our paint collection to paint some Heroscape figures! We'll provide all the materials (including pre-primed figures) that you need. Running 10AM-6PM Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and 10AM-2PM Sunday!

On Demand Pods (Contemporary, 460 points, 17 Figures)

These optional events for groups of 4-8 players allow you to come in and play a practice tournament using our event space in preparation for the Valkyrie Trial!
